From St. Simons to Jekyll Island, Glynn County houses roughly twelve public playground spaces. With a population of around 85,000, these spaces become a free and easy pass time for families with all ages. While some have been recently renovated, many are in need of some major improvements. Issues with maintenance of play structures to accessibility for all and the amount of shade provided for playing children seem to be common concerns for many families.
Below is a brief survey for parents and caregivers addressing common concerns and asking for feedback about the playgrounds your family frequents the most. Answers will remain anonymous however data will be collected by Golden Isles Moms to present to our county officials. Our goal is to make each and every play space safe, accessible, and reflecting the family friendly nature of our community!
