What is your name? Heather Honaker
What Golden Isle do you call home and how long have you lived there? St. Simons Island
What do you love about living here? I love being able to take some time to walk on the beach at the end of a busy or hard day. And the weather is amazing – as someone who lived in the North, I’ll keep these warm days.
How many children do you have and what are their names and ages? Two daughters – 14 and 20
What do you do for work and what’s the best part of your job? I’m an Independent Travel Consultant. I love helping families realize their travel dreams and turning those into memories. I get so excited for my clients while I’m helping them plan and book their trips, and when I get to see photos during or after, it makes me so happy.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to know about you? I’m an introverted-extrovert (or vice versa?). I love to host people in my home, but am very nervous and quiet when I get invited to others’ homes.
What’s one way you relax when you need to “unwind”? Walk on the beach or take a nap.
What’s your best mom hack?Place a small amount of Dawn dishsoap on greasy stains and rub in with water. Then place in wash accordingly – boom! Stain is gone!
