What is your name? Jenna McMicken

What Golden Isle do you call home and how long have you lived there? SSI for 10 years

What do you love about living here? I love all the outdoor beauty there is to see and the closeness of such a tight knit community. 

How many children do you have and what are their names and ages?I have 2 kids. Samuel is 8 and Lily is 7. They are 12 months apart

What’s one of your favorite mom resources (websites, groups, stores, etc.) in the area? I loved being apart of the Mom’s Club when my kids were younger. Now we’ve transitioned to the homeschooling Facebook groups for our area. They are a great way to get connected.

What do you do for work and what’s the best part of your job? I’m a homeschooling mom that teaches piano as a side gig. Teaching piano gives me the flexibility to create my own schedule and offers me the ability to pass on my love for music to others. .

What’s one thing people might be surprised to know about you? I’m an avid baker

What’s one way you relax when you need to “unwind”? I love to take walks, especially on the beach. It helps me to clear my head and process whatever is going on in my life.

What’s your best mom hack? Plan dinner out the night before when you are in bed so it will be less stressful the next day.
