What is your name? Rebecca Bradford

What Golden Isle do you call home and how long have you lived there? Saint Simons

What do you love about living here? We love the small town feel, the warmer weather, that we can ride bikes and walk to so many places, and the beaches!

How many children do you have and what are their names and ages?3 boys ages 8,7, and 5.

What’s one of your favorite mom resources (websites, groups, stores, etc.) in the area? I love our local Buy Nothing Site, but mostly the individual women whom I’ve met here who have been so open and helpful.

What do you do for work and what’s the best part of your job? I am first a stay at home homeschool mom to my three boys. I am also a swim instructor on Saint Simons Island and have been teaching kids water safety and strokes since I was a teenager. I absolutely love to see kids who are fearful of the water find an excitement and love they didn’t know was there. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know all of the kids and parents I teach and love when I get to see them out and about on the island.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to know about you? I was an indoor college volleyball player (I prefer playing beach though) and I can also ride a unicycle.

What’s one way you relax when you need to “unwind”? My husband and I enjoy sitting by the fire and taking evening walks as a family after dinner.

What’s your best mom hack? Teach your kids to make their own food!
